Vendor Ethics and Trust Guide

Standards for accurate claims, customer privacy, complaints, and evidence-based verification.

Version 1.0Next review: 2027-08-06

Trustworthy vendors make accurate claims, protect customer privacy, communicate limitations, and separate commercial payment from independent verification.

Accurate representation

Describe products and services honestly. State materials, dimensions, care requirements, lead times, availability, refund terms, and what is not included.

Privacy and professional boundaries

Collect only the information needed to provide the service. Do not reuse sensitive customer details for marketing or disclose purchases without explicit authorization.

Complaints and remediation

Provide a clear contact route, acknowledge concerns, preserve records, avoid retaliation, and explain available remedies. A paid listing must never prevent suspension or review.

Verification

KinkTrust should display the exact evidence reviewed and the expiry date. Verification is distinct from partnership, sponsorship, popularity, or a customer review.
