Start with resources that identify their author, date, purpose, evidence, and limits. Compare perspectives rather than treating a single piece as an authority on every community, jurisdiction, or experience.
Questions for any resource
- Who wrote it, and for whom?
- What does it claim to cover—and exclude?
- When was it reviewed?
- Does it distinguish education from legal, medical, therapeutic, or emergency advice?
- Does it protect the privacy of people described in examples?
